HR Generalist (Fully Remote Role)

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting Hondros College of Nursing through the execution of HR strategies and effective delivery of HR services. This individual will assesses client needs, interpret and apply HR strategy and policies, rules and regulations, establish internal procedures and provide solutions to a wide spectrum of complex HR issues. The HR Generalist promotes a collaborative, client-oriented approach and contributes to the maintenance of high associate morale.

This role reports directly to the Director of HR.

Responsibilities:

Human Resources:
• Participates in the creation of personnel files in compliance with applicable local, state, federal and regulatory agency requirements.
• Maintains electronic documents, files and records (e.g. personnel records, associate lists, etc.)
• Manages human resources related documentation and correspondence for the Federal Work Study program
•... Participates in employee relations meetings and discussions
Operations:
• Performs administrative functions (e.g. scheduling, copying, faxing, data inputting, transmitting, telephoning, taking messages, responding to written and verbal inquires, etc.) to support the needs of the department.
• Participates in meetings that involve a wide range of topics (e.g. personnel actions, regulatory requirements, actions involving outside agencies, inter-department needs, etc.).
• Responds to written and verbal inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources (e.g. faculty, staff, administrators, etc.); providing information and/or referring to appropriate personnel and/or identifying the relevant issues and recommending or implementing are mediation plan.
• Drafts formal communications, newsletters, reports, letters, etc.
Other:
• Maintains and processes confidential, sensitive information.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-service activities; attends workshops, conferences and classes to increase professional knowledge.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Must have strong presentation skills with the ability to speak comfortably to large audiences and also in a one-on-one environment.
• Ability to make logical decisions that support the intended objective, considering the best interests of Hondros College of Nursing.
• Ability to establish priorities among multiple tasks.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and be detail oriented
• Must be fluent in Microsoft Office applications and use of the Internet.
• Bachelor's Degree required (or equivalent professional experience)
• Three years of experience in a professional business environment required, previous experience providing administrative support in a human resources team preferred.
