Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and experienced History Teacher to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge our students. You will be teaching a range of history topics to students aged 11-18, including but not limited to world history, Middle Eastern history, and Islamic history. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and challenging history lessons to students aged 11-18 Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, cultural awareness, and global citizenship Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a cohesive history curriculum Participate in school events and extracurricular activities, such as field trips and clubs Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best possible learning experience for students Stay up-to-date with current educational practices and trends in history education Maintain accurate and organized records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in History or a related field Teaching certification or license from a recognized institution Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching history at the secondary level Experience teaching in an international school or diverse cultural setting is preferred Strong knowledge of history curriculum and teaching methods Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proficient in using technology in the classroom Fluency in English is required, proficiency in Arabic is a plus Originally posted on Himalayas
