Historic Preservation Sales Specialist
DescriptionWe are seeking a Historic Preservation Sales Specialist to represent and grow our preservation client portfolio by developing relationships with owners, architects, preservation professionals, and public-sector stakeholders responsible for historic buildings. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, guiding clients through complex decision-making processes, and delivering solutions that align with preservation standards, regulatory requirements, and project goals.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with owners and stewards of historic properties, preservation architects, consultants, and public agenciesIdentify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities for historic preservation servicesCommunicate the value of our services in a clear, accurate, and client-focused mannerSupport clients in understanding regulatory frameworks, preservation standards, and project requirementsPrepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and project scopes in collaboration with internal teamsParticipate in site visits, stakeholder meetings, and planning discussionsAddress client questions and concerns related to cost, timelines, compliance, and preservation integrityMaintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and client interactions
Required Qualifications
Experience in business development or sales within construction, architecture, engineering, preservation, or related professional servicesStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to navigate complex approval processes and multi-stakeholder environmentsUnderstanding of—or willingness to learn—historic preservation standards and regulatory considerationsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with historic preservation projects or adaptive reuse workExisting relationships within the preservation, architectural, or municipal sectorsExperience selling professional or technical services
