What it isWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Telehealth Physician to join our innovative digital health company. As a Telehealth Physician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality remote medical care to patients living with diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and hypertension. You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized care plans, monitor patient progress, and empower individuals to manage their health effectively. This is a full-time, W2 position. What you’ll doProvide a combination of synchronous video consultations and asynchronous care, including direct messaging, for patients diagnosed with cardiometabolic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and obesity.Perform comprehensive medical assessments, review patient medical histories, and order appropriate diagnostic tests as needed.Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, incorporating evidence-based guidelines and best practices.Prescribe medications, lifestyle modifications, and other therapeutic interventions to optimize patient health outcomes.Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, medication adherence, and preventive measures to minimize disease progression and complications.Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up appointments, remote monitoring devices, and virtual check-ins.Review cases with our multidisciplinary team and approve recommendations from clinical pharmacists and registered dietitians.Collaborate with our team of dietitians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate whole-body care and support patient wellness goals.Utilize telehealth technology and electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient encounters, update medical records, and communicate with the care team.Stay abreast of the latest developments in cardiometabolic medicine, telehealth practices, and digital health technologies through continuing medical education (CME) activities and professional networking.Adhere to regulatory requirements, privacy laws, and company policies to ensure compliance with telemedicine standards and safeguard patient confidentiality.What you’ll needMinimum QualificationsMedical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institutionBoard certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Obesity Medicine, or a related specialtyActive medical license in the state(s) where telehealth services will be providedCommitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient safety in a virtual care settingPreferred QualificationsExperience practicing telemedicine or providing remote patient care2+ years of outpatient clinical experience post-residency or fellowshipStrong clinical knowledge and expertise in managing cardiometabolic conditions, including familiarity with current treatment guidelines and therapeutic modalitiesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex medical concepts in a clear and accessible mannerEmpathetic bedside manner and a patient-centered approach to careProficiency in using telehealth platforms, video conferencing software, and electronic health records (EHR) systemsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to evolving workflows and technologies in digital healthcare.What you can expect at 9amHealthAt 9amHealth Medical Group, you'll join the exciting environment of a startup with the stability of highly experienced founders that have successfully built a business from scratch.
