Role Description
This role involves providing nursing care and support to patients through effective communication and assessment.
• Responsible for incoming calls from patients, physicians, and healthcare organizations
• Using the nursing process and software protocols, assess the patient and offer appropriate options for care based on Triage guidelines
• Facilitate referrals to primary care providers, specialists, healthcare facilities, and community resources
• Facilitate communication with providers and healthcare organizations as appropriate
Qualifications
• Associates of Applied Science in Nursing
• RN from an approved school of nursing with current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
• 5+ years of progressive clinical RN experience in acute care setting for adult and/or pediatric patients
• Proven basic PC skills including Windows Operating System
• Demonstrated typing skills of 30 WPM
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)
• 3+ years RN experience in an Emergency Department (preferred)
• 1+ years of Triage nurse experience (preferred)
