Schools in Sun City, AZ are currently recruiting dedicated Orientation & Mobility Specialists to join their teams for the 2025–2026 academic year. This role offers competitive compensation and benefits designed to support you as you help students with visual impairments gain independence.
Role Overview:
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Employment period: August 4, 2025 – May 19, 2026
• Responsibilities include planning and teaching mobility skills tailored to each student’s needs, per their IEP
• Performing thorough assessments addressing both immediate and ongoing requirements
• Regular collaboration with families, classroom teachers, and special education staff
• Position requires onsite presence
• Additional details provided during interview
Qualifications:
• Valid IVP fingerprint clearance
• Master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility or a related discipline
• Certified by ACVREP
• At least two years of experience in a public school setting
