Position: Senior Full-stack Engineer (Node/React) Job Summary: As a Senior Full-stack Engineer at OpenGov, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of our cutting-edge cloud-based software solutions. Your expertise in Node.js and React will contribute to building scalable and high-performance applications that empower governments to transform their operations and better serve their citizens. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Node.js and React. Write clean, efficient, and testable code to ensure the highest level of software quality. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, reliability, and security. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in web development. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Full-stack Developer with a focus on Node.js and React. Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related front-end technologies. Familiarity with back-end development and RESTful APIs. Experience with modern web development tools and build systems (Webpack, Babel, etc.). Knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. Ability to work in an Agile development environment and deliver high-quality code on schedule. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience working in a SaaS or cloud-based software company. Contribution to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities. Familiarity with government financial management or budgeting processes. Previous experience in mentoring junior developers.
