 *Key Responsibilities:**
- **Revenue Recognition:** Oversee revenue recognition procedures and accounts receivable. Collaborate with the FP&A/Revenue Cycle Management team to drive efficiencies and establish best practices.
- **Process Improvement:** Design and implement processes and controls to ensure completeness, accuracy, and existence of revenue recognition, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- **Month-End Close:** Prepare and review critical month-end files with FP&A and RCM to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- **Policy Update:** Assist in updating revenue recognition policies and memos in accordance with US GAAP and ongoing technical accounting research.
- **General Ledger Maintenance:** Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial transaction recording and appropriate coding.
- **Reconciliations and Journal Entries:** Prepare and review accounting reconciliations, approve related journal entries.
- **Communication:** Effectively communicate changes in contractual adjustments and required bad debt reserves with RCM, FP&A, and joint venture health system accounting teams.
- **Financial Close Management:** Ensure timely and accurate financial close on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Improve close and reporting cycles.
- **Transaction Identification:** Identify recurring and non-recurring transactions for management reporting.
- **Internal Controls:** Develop and enforce effective internal controls in compliance with GAAP and regulatory laws.
- **Annual Financial Objectives:** Support the establishment of annual financial objectives aligning with the company's operational, growth, and profitability plans.
- **Project Management:** Manage additional projects as needed, such as system implementations or upgrades.
 *Qualifications:**
 Healthcare Revenue Experience:** Strong understanding and experience in healthcare revenue preferred.
 ERP Systems:** Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
 GAAP Knowledge:** Thorough understanding of GAAP, internal controls, operational risk assessment, and financial reporting.
 Analytical Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; anticipate issues and provide sound guidance for resolution.
 Excel Proficiency:** Advanced proficiency in Excel preferred.
 Communication Skills:** Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
 Project Management:** Proven ability to manage projects, allocate resources, and collaborate across disciplines and locations. Excellent organizational skills.
 Work Ethic:** Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, with high integrity and ethical standards.
 Team Management:** Experience in managing a team.
 *Education:**
- BachelorÂs degree in accounting required.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
 *Experience:**
- 4 years of progressively responsible accounting experience required.
- Public accounting experience with national accounting firms through the manager level preferred.
 *Desired Qualifications:**
- Experience in the healthcare industry.
- Joint venture accounting experience.
