Role Description
The Spiritual Direction Certificate at Divine Mercy University (DMU) invites applications for an Instructor position, including the following responsibilities:
• Teach a course each SDC term (10 hrs weekly) 3 courses per academic year or facilitating (6 residencies a year)
• Group supervision each DMU term (5 hours each term) for a total of 5 groups per academic year
• Program advisor for 20 students each academic year (total of 30 hours throughout the year)
• Group interview rotations for each SDC term - do 3 interviews a term (4 hrs) 9 interviews per academic year
Qualifications
• MA or PhD in Spiritual Theology, Philosophy, Counseling or a related field
• 5 years experience as a Spiritual Director
• Exemplify a commitment to diverse worldviews and faiths while upholding the Catholic Christian vision of the person

• Cover letter of interest that addresses the applicant’s compatibility with teaching and supervising in accord with the DMU mission
• Applicants whose primary language is other than English must provide proficiency in both written and spoken English appropriate for masters-level teaching in the United States of America
• Applicants holding degrees earned at an institution outside the United States of America must demonstrate post-secondary education that is equivalent to a U.S. doctoral degree in counseling supervision
• It is the applicant’s responsibility to have all official transcripts submitted from each university translated into English
