Role Description
M&D Capital is currently seeking a Chief Data Officer to join our rapidly growing team. This is a full-time, in-person position located in Queens, New York.
Professional Coder E/M is a full-time, remote position that offers a flexible schedule. We are currently looking for candidates with experience specializing in the following area:
ā¢ E&M for IP/OP/ER services.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Review and accurately code cases to maximize reimbursement in a timely manner.
ā¢ Review and accurately code E&M and office procedures.
ā¢ Able to work independently and research coding scenarios.
ā¢ Responsible for meeting daily production goals and a quality goal of averaging 95% accuracy rate on a consistent basis.
ā¢ Attend conference calls as necessary to provide information and/or feedback.
ā¢ Communicate with leadership on coding or documentation issues/trends.
ā¢ Stay current on all coding guidelines (including orthopedic-specific guidelines) and maintain credentials as necessary.
ā¢ Participate in coding department and education meetings.
ā¢ Flexible to expand coding skill set into other specialties altogether.
ā¢ Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
ā¢ Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
ā¢ High School diploma required; Associates or BS degree preferred.
ā¢ Successful completion of at least one AHIMA or AAPC certified program with the achievement of the correlating professional credential (CCS, CPC, etc.); active and in good standing. A CPC certification is preferred.
ā¢ Minimum of 3 years physician coding experience (recent hands-on production) in expertise in E&M coding for in-patient, out-patient, and emergency room.
ā¢ Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10 coding, modifiers, disease processes, surgical techniques, and Medicare and Medicaid billing policies for professional services.

ā¢ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, electronic healthcare record information, and billing systems.
