Role Description
The Drug Information Manager serves as a critical member of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) team, responsible for managing and delivering accurate, evidence-based drug information to support formulary development and clinical decision-making.
ā¢ Ensure the integrity of drug monographs, therapeutic class reviews, and formulary documentation while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
ā¢ Collaborate closely with clinical, financial, and operational teams to align formulary decisions with organizational goals.
ā¢ Provide subject matter expertise for rebate strategies and client communications.
ā¢ Research, analyze, and synthesize clinical data to develop formulary recommendations and support P&T Committee activities.
ā¢ Monitor FDA approvals, safety alerts, and pipeline developments, ensuring timely updates to formulary content.
ā¢ Communicate complex clinical information effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications
ā¢ Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
ā¢ Active Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in good standing required
ā¢ Completion of a Drug Information or Managed Care Pharmacy residency preferred
ā¢ Advanced training or certification in pharmacotherapy, formulary management, or evidence-based medicine preferred
Requirements
ā¢ Minimum 3ā5 years of experience in drug information, formulary management, or managed care pharmacy required
ā¢ Hands-on experience preparing and presenting clinical content for Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committees required
ā¢ Strong background in evidence-based medicine and clinical literature evaluation required
ā¢ Experience in managed care organizations, PBMs, or GPOs preferred
ā¢ Exposure to cost-effectiveness analysis and integration of clinical insights with financial considerations preferred
ā¢ Prior involvement in pipeline monitoring and formulary strategy development preferred
ā¢ Experience collaborating with analytics and finance teams for rebate and formulary optimization preferred
Benefits
ā¢ $120,000-125,000 per year.
ā¢ The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
