Role Description
This position involves analyzing complex workers' compensation claims, ensuring that claims are adjudicated in accordance with service expectations and industry best practices.
ā¢ Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims, managing them to timely resolutions.
ā¢ Negotiate settlements of claims within designated authority.
ā¢ Calculate reserves and manage their adequacy throughout the life of claims.
ā¢ Ensure timely claim payments and prepare necessary state filings.
ā¢ Manage the litigation process for claims resolution.
ā¢ Coordinate vendor referrals for investigation and litigation management.
ā¢ Implement cost containment strategies to minimize claims costs.
ā¢ Oversee claim recoveries and report claims to the excess carrier.
Qualifications
ā¢ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
ā¢ Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent.
ā¢ Subject matter expert in insurance principles and laws.
ā¢ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
ā¢ Proficient in Microsoft Office and analytical skills.
ā¢ Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
ā¢ Exceptional negotiation abilities and team collaboration.
