Role Description

Join Our PhD in Nursing Faculty Team. We are seeking an experienced nurse scholar to teach and mentor doctoral students in our fully online PhD in Nursing program. As Walden grows, we continue its tradition of quality. The School of Nursing seeks a full-time Associate Professor for the PhD program. Share your professional experience and academic knowledge with students across the country and around the world. With a computer and a high-speed Internet connection, you can work on your own schedule while supporting other professional and personal commitments.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing
• Earned PhD or doctoral degree (preferably in Nursing or a closely related field) from an accredited institution
• Active, current, and unrestricted RN license in one of the 50 U.S. states
• Minimum of one year of online teaching experience at the MSN or doctoral level (preferred)
• Experience mentoring doctoral students and serving on dissertation committees (preferred)
• Strong student-centered teaching skills, including excellent communication, collaboration, emotional intelligence, organization, data management, and commitment to student learning and development

Requirements
• PhD in Nursing (or related discipline with strong research methods expertise)
• Previous experience as an Assistant Professor or above
• Experience teaching online in a master's or doctoral nursing program
• Experience serving on dissertation committees
• Expertise in theory, research methods, leadership, nursing education, or population health
• Demonstrated program of scholarship (publications, research, presentations)
• Must meet performance expectations outlined for your program area
