We are seeking an empathetic and motivated School Social Worker to join our team near Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate will provide support to students, fostering a nurturing school environment and addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of our SPED and at risk students.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
• Provide crisis intervention and support.
• Connect families with community resources and services.
• Develop and lead programs to enhance social and emotional learning.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in School Social Work (MSW) or related field.
• MI State licensure as a School Social Worker.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting.
