High School Math Tutor and/or High School Science Tutor

Overview • *Application with a cover letter will be prioritized. We are seeking a high school math and/or science tutor to join our team for immediate placement with students. Responsibilities • Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and learning style. • Provide instruction in subjects such as Geometry, Algebra 1 &2, precalculus and/or calculus (proficiency in all of these is not required. we will still hire those who can do "math through precalculus" or "high school math except geometry," etc • Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly. • Utilize various teaching tools and techniques to enhance understanding of complex concepts. • Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding academic performance and areas for improvement. Experience • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching in relevant subjects is preferred. • Strong knowledge of math topics and local curriculum preferred • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. • Excellent communication skills and a patient demeanor when working with students of varying abilities. • A degree in Education or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory. You will choose your desired number of hours and availability. Students meet after school (generally 3:30pm or later) and on weekends. Within these hours, you set your availability. Some students can meet earlier. Pay will be based on experience and interview performance. Please include tutoring/teaching experience and the subjects/levels (ie math through precalc, chem but not AP chem) you can tutor on your resume or cover letter.
