Hedge Fund Accounting Manager
Our client is an Hedge Fund division of a larger firm with less than 10 employees. They are seeking a Fund Accounting Manager or Controller who will report to the Head of Finance and own both the fund accounting and management company accounting. Responsibilities include reviewing the fund administrator's work and responsibilities for the daily fund operations including cash and position reconciliations, settlement, borrow, expense allocations, etc. This role will assist with investor account on-boarding, including overseeing the fund administrator in performing compliance checks and maintaining records for capital activity.This role will manage the preparation of audit and tax requests, initial review of audited financials and annual K-1s, etc. This is a remote role working west coast/pacific hours (PST).Requirements:● 5+ years accounting and operations experience in the alternative investment industry.● Knowledge of partnership and fund accounting under GAAP.● Experience with trade operations, settlement, and clearance process.● Prior hedge fund partnership tax returns and corporate tax planning experience is a plus.● CPA or equivalent is highly desired.● Prior working experience with digital assets is preferred.Apply tot his job
