Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with referring physicians to promote our services and increase new patient referrals. This role plays a central part in expanding our network of healthcare providers and ensuring seamless coordination of care for patients with allergies and asthma symptoms. The individual should be self-motivated, ready to roll up their sleeves, have a “can do” attitude, and work well within a small, agile team. It will be important to have a thorough understanding of healthcare operations and experience successfully executing field marketing/sales tactics within the healthcare industry. This position is best suited for someone who can remain flexible to shift and reorganize priorities as business needs change. This role will work collaboratively with our operations and marketing team leaders to establish a robust physician referral marketing strategy in the local DMV area that can be expanded nationally.

Specific areas of accountability will include but not be limited to:
• Establish, develop, and maintain effective and engaged relationships with identified physicians and referral sources through routine face-to-face meetings, spending approximately 75% of time in the field.
• Educate external healthcare providers about our company's services, treatments, and expertise in allergy and asthma management to facilitate a smooth referral process, increase brand awareness, and drive new patient volume.
• Understands how to prioritize efforts and resources based on knowledge of AllerVie’s services, territory dynamics and industry trends for effective coverage of the DMV region/market.
• Create and maintain accurate tracking and reporting of key physician visits, interaction, and trends for internal databases/CRM software.
• Monitor and analyze referral patterns, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement of the physician referral marketing process.
• Partner with cross-functional department leaders to build a scalable physician referral marketing strategy that can be rolled out nationwide.
• Maintains working knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance regulations around physician referral marketing tactics and limitations.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Specifically, desired experiences and skills include:
• 5-7 years of experience in healthcare / medical sales, business development, physician relations, etc. for multi-site healthcare company.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare systems, physician referral processes, and the ability to learn the allergy/asthma industry quickly.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology, including EMR systems, Microsoft Office suite, CRM software/tools, project management platforms, etc.
• Execution-oriented with the ability to synthesize multifaceted business needs and develop thoughtful field sales/marketing solutions to address those needs.
• Must live in the DC/Metro Baltimore area and have the availability to travel within the DMV region at least 75% of work time.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, marketing, communications, or related field.
