We invite you to apply to be a part of our University community!Job DescriptionThe Health Programs Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and implementing non-credit health care programs at Idaho State University's Continuing Education and Workforce Training (CEWT) Department.This position acts as the primary point of contact with other departments, agencies, and state and national affiliates, ensuring the smooth operation of all non-credit health care programs and courses.Key Responsibilities

Coordinate, schedule, and promote health programs and courses offered by CEWT.
Develop new programs to meet workforce demands and support community and regional growth.
Collaborate with stakeholders to meet training needs and coordinate clinical experiences.
Ensure all programs comply with state or national certification and credentialing requirements, providing statistical analysis and reports as needed.
Manage the daily operations of health programs, including staffing and scheduling courses.
Work with Marketing to create promotional materials.
Update and maintain course information, including textbooks and relevant course materials.
Ensure course materials are in alignment with state and national guidelines and certifications.
Oversee the setup of courses, including content updates, grade book setup, and ensure timely grading and paperwork submission by instructors.
Maintain compliance with various agencies, including the State Board of Nursing, Department of Health and Welfare, American Heart Association, and Idaho Emergency Medical Services.
Coordinate and facilitate clinical activities, including background checks, immunizations, and clinical rotations.
Develop and maintain clinical agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with clinical partners.
Ensure quality instruction that adheres to national, state, and organizational guidelines.
Coordinate psychomotor testing for EMT candidates and oversee CNA State Testing, Medication Assistant-Certified (MA-C) testing, and Phlebotomy testing.
Work with lead instructors to determine test dates, locations, and ensure state and national testing compliance.
Coordinate N-95 fit testing for students as required by health programs.
Supervise health program staff.
Oversee hiring, onboarding, payroll, and staff management.
Coordinate training and professional development opportunities for health program instructors.
Maintain inventory and order supplies necessary for health courses.
Initiate periodic course evaluations for existing programs and identify areas for improvement.
Coordinate remediation plans for students with instructors and manage test remediation processes.
Participate in relevant committees, including the Idaho Health Chairs committee and state CNA Advisory Committee.
Engage in other projects and conferences, including Emergency Medical Conferences and Mental Health Awareness initiatives.
Facilitate the development of new non-credit health courses and explore additional offerings.
Participate in relevant state and university special projects and committees.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
Minimum Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of three years related experience and training
Current, unencumbered professional nursing license in Idaho
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to operate standard office equipment (phone, copier, fax, projector, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications

At least two years of teaching experience, both in-person and online courses
Minimum of three years of experience in long-term or chronic care settings
Demonstrated knowledge of OBRA (Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) regulations
Proficiency with Learning Management Systems - preferably Moodle

Salary will be between $60,000 - $70,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
