POSITION SUMMARY: The PowerChart Solution Consultant supports multiple facilities with a broad set of clinical applications in a large organization. We are looking for a Health Informaticist who will be responsible for supporting DHA Health Informatics through the implementation, alignment, and sustainment of functional requirements, business process reengineering (BPR), clinical content standardization, and workflow standardization, across the MHS enterprise-wide in support of DOD’s Electronic Health Record (EHR), MHS GENESIS (configured Cerner Millennium). ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Possess a broad understanding of the clinical/business workflows and human factors/usability standards of the current and emerging systems utilized in the organization. • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Medical Record (EMR)/Electronic Dental Record (EDR) systems and relevant supporting HIT systems. • Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Cerner Millennium and/or MHS GENESIS in one or more solution areas. • Demonstrated clinical informatics experience with the DOD or commercial healthcare system. • Ability to handle demanding situations with clarity, focus and professionalism, and to respond quickly to taskers. • Participates in special projects as required. • Has the knowledge, skills, and proficiency to understand the purpose, features, functions, benefits, and limitations of our clinical information systems. • Demonstrated ability to identify and integrate key organizational factors, including political, economic, social, technological, and administrative, to drive performance improvements, business objectives, and overarching MHS Enterprise Informatics Strategy. • Demonstrated experience and ability to confer with senior management using industry expertise to define the client's strategic information technology business goals. • Demonstrated experience and ability to assist client in developing strategies and concepts. • Demonstrated experience and ability to advise clients on the impact of new legislation or new technologies that are relevant to their activity. • Possess the ability to apply interpersonal skills, knowledge in the areas of End User (EU) expectation management, clinical workflows, and clinical process improvements methodologies. • Ability to manage deadlines and recurring deliverables. • Supports multiple facilities as a key clinical IT resource for issue investigation, resolution, validation, and change deployment. • Works with enterprise subject matter experts on a variety of issues. • Participates in Enterprise level projects. QUALIFICATIONS: • 5 + years of Health Informatics experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, equivalent, or higher in Informatics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related clinical/medical/business discipline (recommended). • Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a lively, collaborative environment. • Familiarity of Cerner Oracle Electronic Health Record Power Chart applications inclusive of Rules and Alerts. • Expertise with CCL preferred • Proficient in use of Backend Millennium tools and applications [for example: DCP Tools, Core Event Manager, HNA User]. • Experience with issue investigation, troubleshooting, and developing a resolution incorporating best practice workflows. • Ability to guide, design and build efforts to meet the clinical need. • Able to translate clinical workflow needs into efficient/standardized EMR build. • Able to justify setting and build needs based upon understanding of EMR System integration across Applications, Solutions, and Departments. • Expertise in deploying Enterprise standards and collaboration-based system optimization in a very large organization with many facilities. • Must have expertise in Cerner build of Oracle Health systems architecture. ‘How does everything connect’. • Understanding of clinical operations and application support processes and workflow. • Understands pertinent accreditation guidelines, such as JCAHO, HIPAA, and CMS, etc. • Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinical and information technology personnel verbally and in writing. • Demonstrated customer orientation. • Excellent leadership and teaching abilities. • Demonstrated advanced computer skills. • Understanding of reporting tools functionality and capabilities. CERTIFICATE/ LICENSE: • Possession/ Maintenance of specialty clinical licensure is strongly desired. Valid state driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, if applicable. • Have excellent knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office Products and related applications. • PMP Certification preferred. • Possess T3 Security Clearance or ability to possess T3 Security Clearance. US Citizenship Required. Required to travel to local or other non-local locations. Full-time (W2) position with benefits.
