Health Data Analyst

Appen USA is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Health Data Analyst to join our innovative AppenWell Advocates team. In this remote position, you will play a crucial role in analyzing health and wellness data to inform and shape our wellness programs, ultimately improving employee health outcomes. Your work will directly contribute to the development of data-driven strategies that promote a healthy work environment and enhance employee well-being and productivity.Key Responsibilities:Collect, process, and analyze health data from various sources, including wellness program participation, health assessments, and employee feedback surveys.Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track wellness program metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.Work closely with the HR team and wellness program managers to translate data findings into actionable insights and strategies.Conduct evaluations of wellness program effectiveness, providing recommendations for enhancements based on data analysis.Ensure data privacy and security in handling sensitive health information, adhering to HIPAA and other relevant regulations.Collaborate on cross-functional teams to integrate wellness initiatives with broader organizational goals.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Public Health, Health Informatics, or a related field.1+ years of experience in health data analysis, preferably in a wellness or healthcare setting.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Python, R) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Knowledge of health and wellness metrics and their impact on employee productivity and well-being.Experience with data privacy and security practices, particularly in handling sensitive health information.Skills:Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex health data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.Technical Proficiency: Skilled in the use of data analysis and visualization tools to create meaningful reports and dashboards.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to present findings and recommendations clearly to non-technical audiences.Problem-Solving: Capability to translate data into actionable wellness program improvements and strategies.Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail in data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.Collaboration: Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams, contributing to a culture of wellness.Data Privacy: Knowledge of and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and security.About AppenWell Advocates:The AppenWell Advocates team is at the forefront of promoting health and wellness within Appen USA, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance the well-being and productivity of our employees.
