Registered Dietitian – Health Coach Location: High Point, NC (Must reside within 45 minutes) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (flexibility required for member calls after hours) Work Model: Hybrid – includes in-office training and ongoing onsite presence as needed up to 25% of the time. Position Summary As a Registered Dietitian Health Coach, you will play a key role in helping members achieve and maintain optimal nutritional health. You’ll assess member needs, develop personalized care plans, and provide evidence-based coaching to support sustainable lifestyle changes. This role requires strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a passion for helping others thrive. Key Responsibilities Assessment & Planning • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments using clinical tools and data • Evaluate health literacy, technology access, and readiness for change • Develop individualized care plans based on health status, risks, and goals Coaching & Engagement • Use motivational interviewing and active listening to drive behavior change • Provide nutritional guidance and lifestyle coaching • Empower members to make informed decisions and engage with their providers Monitoring & Documentation • Track progress and adjust care plans as needed • Document all interactions in compliance with regulatory standards • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care Required Qualifications • Must reside within commutable distance (≤45 minutes) of High Point, NC • Willingness to represent A1A onsite for plan sponsor events and education • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration • State licensure as required (CVS Health supports multi-state licensure) • 5+ years of experience in: • Medical nutrition therapy • Weight management • Disease management • Health behavior change • 5+ years of coaching experience in a multidisciplinary setting • Strong computer skills (MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) • Experience with motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and other coaching techniques Preferred Qualifications • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) • Experience in managed care organizations • Proven success in facilitating positive behavioral change Education Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field (required) Why Join Us? Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $43,888.00 - $91,052.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
