About the position

The Healthcare Insights Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data to identify patterns and opportunities aimed at enhancing quality and controlling costs within the healthcare sector. This position requires the application of advanced analytics to derive significant insights into various aspects such as member health drivers, product and program concepts, operational effectiveness, and specific health gaps and needs of members. The analyst will leverage their expertise in healthcare analytics to develop impactful products that cater to executive leadership, internal teams, and external customers, ensuring that data-driven decision-making is supported effectively. In this role, the Healthcare Insights Analyst will utilize their background in analytics, statistics, and business intelligence to provide technical and analytical expertise. This includes delivering targeted insights that inform strategic decisions and enhance performance metrics for both members and providers. The analyst will be responsible for identifying opportunities for Value Based Payment contracting and will continuously seek improvements by analyzing data and processes, recommending technical solutions, and creating reports that align with business needs. The position also involves evaluating data for accuracy and completeness, analyzing results, and making recommendations to key business partners and senior management. The analyst will communicate complex analytical findings to a diverse audience, ensuring that insights are accessible and actionable. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential to understand data needs and deliver insightful analytic solutions that drive organizational success. Responsibilities
• Use healthcare domain experience and background in analytics, statistics, and/or business intelligence to develop impactful analytics products for both executive leadership, internal teams, and external customers.

• Provide technical and analytical expertise to deliver targeted insights and analytics required to support data-driven decision making.

• Develop insight into member and provider performance and the variables affecting performance, identifying opportunities for Value Based Payment contracting.

• Identify and review opportunities for continuous improvement through data by analyzing data and processes, recommending technical solutions, and creating reports or other solutions as needed to support business needs.

• Evaluate data and report findings for accuracy, completeness, intent, and scope.
,
• Analyze results and make recommendations for key business partners and senior management, communicating conclusions from complex analytical solutions to a wide range of audiences.

• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver insightful analytic solutions.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree (B.A/B.S) from a four-year college or university; Advanced degree preferred.

• 3+ years Managed Care Industry experience preferred.
,
• Minimum of 3 years of statistical, data or population health analysis.
,
• Knowledge/experience with BI and analytical tools such as PowerBI/Tableau, or a comparable data visualization tool.
,
• Working knowledge/skills writing SQL.

• Using fact-finding and effective questioning techniques and diagnostic tools to identify and analyze problems.
