About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HCI/HCP Consultant (Data Engineer) to join a long-term federal archiving project with Hitachi Federal. This is a mission-critical role focused on data ingestion, transformation, and storage leveraging Hitachi Content Intelligence (HCI) and Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) technologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement ETL workflows using HCI
• Create and maintain Data Connectors, Pipelines, Indexes, and Stages within HCI
• Utilize Lucene query syntax for data indexing and retrieval
• Administer and maintain HCP environments including performance tuning and upgrades
• Develop automation and integration scripts using PowerShell and Bash
• Collaborate with stakeholders and apply critical thinking in a customer-facing environment
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for the project
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
• Proficient with Hitachi Content Intelligence (HCI) workflow components
• Experience with Lucene syntax and query design
• Hands-on experience with Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) – architecture and administration
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell and/or Bash
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently in a remote, client-facing environment
Nice to Have
• Previous experience on federal government projects
• Familiarity with data archiving and compliance standards
