We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented HCC / Risk Adjustment Coder to join our team and contribute to our mission of excellence in healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately review and code medical records to identify Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCCs) and other risk-adjusted codes in compliance with CMS guidelines.
Perform chart reviews for documentation completeness and ensure all applicable codes are captured.
Collaborate with providers to ensure proper documentation supports accurate coding.
Monitor and adhere to compliance standards, including HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines, payer regulations, and CMS policies.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives for better accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or similar credential.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HCC/risk adjustment coding.
In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding and risk adjustment methodologies.
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range:
$55,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
