ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Handyperson to join our FIFO operation at Heathgate Beverley. Working a 14/7 roster, you will be responsible for general maintenance, grounds upkeep, equipment care, and site support services in a remote environment. This role suits a safetyâfocused, flexible team player with strong practical skills and relevant experience.
Salary: $96,130 per annum + Superannuation
Roster: 14 days on / 7 days off
Hours: 11 hours per day
FIFO: Fly In Fly Out from Adelaide
Employment Type: Fullâtime
The Position
Reporting to site management, you will provide a flexible and responsive handyperson service across the facility and surrounding areas. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and machinery
General upkeep of sheds and storage areas
Undertaking basic maintenance and repair tasks
Maintenance of site grounds and gardens
Receiving, handling, and storing chemicals safely and securely
Conducting testing and tagging
Performing ad hoc duties as required by site managers
Planning and executing tasks safely and efficiently
Adhering to all site safety, security, and procedural requirements
The Person
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:
Current Forklift Licence
Current MR Manual Driverâs Licence
Proven experience in general maintenance or handyperson duties
Good knowledge of power tools and gardening equipment
Physically fit, reliable, and safetyâfocused
Comfortable working in extreme and remote conditions
Willingness to undergo a preâemployment medical and drug & alcohol screen
Flexible and adaptable team player, able to assist across departments
