Part-Time Surgical Technology Instructor - Remote

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Surgical Technology Instructor to join our team at Concorde Career Colleges in Dallas, TX. As a part-time instructor, you will play a vital role in providing active and effective learning experiences for our students in various educational settings, including classrooms, labs, clinical, and online environments. Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Duties:
Instruct classes as assigned, preparing lesson plans and course materials as required.
Objectively assess students' academic performance and provide regular feedback.
Effectively utilize instructional plans, learning management systems, and educational technology.
Student Interaction:
Maintain a conducive learning environment, setting a positive example for professionalism and conduct.
Provide constructive feedback, monitor attendance, and address academic, behavioral, or attendance concerns.
Facilitate tutoring, makeup work, and referrals to program directors or academic deans as needed.
Related Duties:
Participate in ongoing faculty and professional development activities, including continuing education units (CEUs) and workshops.
Assist with preparations for graduation ceremonies, student recognition, and campus activities.
Maintain accurate records, inventory, and equipment, reporting any issues to program directors or academic deans.
Requirements:
Credentialed in surgical technology through a national certification program accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
Minimum of four years of clinical experience in surgical technology, with at least two years in the operating room scrub role within the last five years.
Associate degree in surgical technology.
