Organic Markets Coordinator
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Organic Markets Coordinator to join our team at Rodale Institute. As a key member of our Markets Development team, you will play a crucial role in connecting farmers across the United States with organic market opportunities and buyers, with a focus on the East Coast. This is a remote position, ideally based near a major airport in the Northeast or Southeast, with extensive regional travel required.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, sales of organic and natural products, and excellent organizational and communication skills. You will be responsible for coordinating events, providing technical assistance, conducting outreach, and building community relationships with industry personnel, farmers, and regional buyers.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate events, including in-person organic market supplier/buyer discover events, workshops, and virtual webinars
Provide technical assistance to farmers and regional buyers, connecting them with organic market opportunities
Conduct outreach and build community relationships with industry personnel, farmers, and regional buyers
Maintain accurate client and project files, utilizing our Client Relationship Management (CRM) system
Develop reports and manage individual travel, conference, and education budgets
Stay updated on organic certification standards and market trends, and participate in continuous learning and professional development
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Marketing, or a related field, with 2-4 years of experience
Strong supply chain background and experience working in sales of organic and natural products
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of responsiveness and attention to client needs
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on or interacting with organic farms
Working knowledge of the National Organic Program
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, preferably Hubspot
IOIA training in Crops, Livestock, or Processing & Handling scopes
