Credentialing Specialist 2 - Remote Medical Staff Services
Job Summary:
Join our team at Baptist Health South Florida, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization, as a Credentialing Specialist 2 in our Medical Staff Services department. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to support the credentialing and recredentialing processes for our Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals. As a Credentialing Specialist 2, you will play a critical role in ensuring that only qualified practitioners provide care within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Process initial and reappointment applications in accordance with established policies, rules, regulations, and standards.
Verify credentials and obtain appropriate privileges for healthcare providers.
Collaborate with Medical Staff Offices to support the credentialing and verification process.
Participate in projects to facilitate the credentialing and verification process.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
High school diploma, certificate, GED, or equivalent required.
Three (3) years of experience in credentialing.
Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment operations.
Database and computer literacy.
Excellent communication, customer service, organization, planning, and time management skills.
Ability to function independently and as a resource for others.
