GRC Analyst (ITGC Tester)

GRC Analyst (ITGC Tester) - 100% remote working EST Hours Optomi, in partnership with a global client that offers IT Solutions and services to financial services and healthcare clients, is looking to build out the GRC team by hiring a mid-level controls tester! The IT Controls Tester will help to support ongoing controls testing and compliance initiatives within a distributed security and GRC team. This role is well-suited for someone who has hands-on experience testing IT controls, documenting results, and collaborating remotely to improve control effectiveness. IT Controls Tester will be responsible for evaluating the integrity, design, and effectiveness of IT controls across the organization. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently, follow established testing methodologies, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders. This position operates fully remotely and uses a secure VDI environment. What You Will Do: • Execute IT controls testing to assess control design and operating effectiveness • Review and validate evidence to support control performance • Identify control gaps and document findings clearly and accurately • Provide actionable recommendations to support remediation efforts • Collaborate remotely with team members to resolve issues and improve controls • Maintain clear documentation of testing procedures, results, and conclusions • Perform daily work using a VDI environment • Support ongoing compliance and audit-readiness initiatives What You Will Have: • 5-7 years of experience in IT controls testing, GRC, IT audit, or compliance • Proven, hands-on experience executing controls testing • Familiarity with common compliance and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC, internal control programs) • Experience reviewing evidence and identifying control gaps • Strong documentation and written communication skills • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • Comfortable collaborating across time zones (EST preferred) • Experience working within a VDI (virtual desktop infrastructure) Apply tot his job
