Grants and Contracts Manager

Description:
• Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Team Oversight Responsibilities.
• Supervise, coach, and support the post-award Grants & Contracts Analysts.
• Conduct weekly team meetings to disseminate and reinforce policy updates and process changes.
• Lead monthly one-on-one deep-dive meetings with each analyst to review their full sponsored portfolio.
• Ensure analysts complete all monthly account reconciliations and fully complete NEXUS risk/opportunity reports.
• Require that analysts review and take responsibility for departmental invoicing.
• Disseminate new guidance, policy changes, and best practices across the team on an ongoing basis.
• Compliance & Performance Standards: Ensure analysts complete all of their assigned tasks.
• The GCM must ensure all of the above are completed accurately and on time and proactively address missed deliverables.

Requirements:
• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
• Five years of related experience in sponsored research and/or financial positions, preferably in an academic or medical setting.
• Two of those years must include working in a lead or supervisory capacity with extensive supervisory responsibilities or high level, direct involvement in grants and contracts leadership development training projects, serving as a recognized subject matter expert.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
