Make a Difference at Grand Canyon University
Shape the bright futures of Grand Canyon University students as an online adjunct faculty member for the online division in the College of Theology (http://www.gcu.edu/College-of-Theology.php) . For those with a passion for ministry and helping others through Christ, the College of Theology offers bachelor and masters degrees in Christian Studies (http://www.gcu.edu/College-of-Theology/Christian-Studies.php) . Specializations include Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Biblical Studies, and Christian Leadership.
As an adjunct faculty member, youll provide program instruction in an online format, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. If you are highly motivated and passionate about teaching exceptional quality instruction, wed like to hear from you.
This course provides students with a biblical foundation from the Old and New Testaments on Christian Leadership. In studying the Scriptures in their historical, cultural, and linguistic contexts, students gain an appreciation of principles of leadership and develop a theology of leadership centered on the narrative and teaching of Scripture. Issues of call, formation, character, purpose, service, and discipleship are addressed.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance, and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the Universitys Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
Using GCUs Learning Management System, you will be providing instruction to your students and grade their assignments in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Minimum: PhD or DMin from an accredited college or university with coursework in biblical leadership AND At least two years professional experience in ministry or teaching at the postsecondary level.
