Provide guidance and support to graduate students in navigating their academic journey at UCLA.
Assist students in setting and achieving their academic and personal goals.
Act as a liaison between students and various departments, faculty, and staff to ensure a seamless experience for students.
Stay up-to-date on university policies and procedures to accurately advise students on academic requirements.
Utilize active listening skills and empathy to understand and address student concerns and challenges.
Collaborate with other advisors and faculty to develop and implement programs and resources to enhance the graduate student experience.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.
Monitor students' progress and provide timely interventions and referrals to support services when necessary.
Organize and facilitate workshops, events, and orientations to assist students in navigating the graduate school experience.
Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance the services provided to graduate students.
