Graduate Physical Implementation Applications Engineer

Arm is a leading company in the semiconductor industry, seeking a motivated Graduate Physical Implementation Applications Engineer to join their CPU and Subsystems physical implementation support team. This role involves providing design support services, collaborating with design teams, and developing training materials to ensure customer success in silicon implementation.ResponsibilitiesSupport customer silicon success by optimizing Arm core implementations, developing design flows, and delivering premier physical design guidanceDevelop, help market, and deliver physical design support services to accelerate customer silicon successCooperate and communicate with the RTL, implementation and SoC design teams e.g., evaluate core/system implementation performance vs. power tradeoffs, supplement EDA tool shortcomings with custom script workarounds, and devise physical design flows to extract optimum performance from cell and macro librariesDevelop training collateral for our customer baseCollaborate with EDA vendors to extend the best in class results from our designsSkillsHold (or are on track to hold) a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering by September 20261 - 2 years of proven meaningful experience within the industryDemonstrable experience with synthesis, floor/power planning, place and route, clock distribution, signal & power integrity, DFM, physical verification, LEC and static timing analysisExperience in the entire IC design flow, from RTL through to PnR & STA, especially in hierarchical designsMaster's degree is preferredProcessor and interconnect microarchitectureProficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python and TCL and experience with Verilog RTL designExperience with low power design techniques (power gating, DVFS, etc.)DFT and MBISTSoC design complexity management via hierarchical implementation flowsBenefitsCompetitive salaryComprehensive rewards packageSupport, autonomy and opportunity to excel in your careerMid-year, and year-end reviewGrad-teach-Grads workshopsGuest speaker seriesVarious social eventsExclusive Global Graduate Conference (GGC)Company OverviewArm’s foundational technology is defining the future of computing.
