Davis and Richard J. Henley College of Nursing at Sacred Heart University is seeking applicants for an Assistant Clinical Professor/Associate Clinical Professor in the MSN FNP and FNP certificate online program. The candidate should be current in clinical practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Graduate academic advisement will be required. Faculty will be assigned to online courses that are asynchronous. Flexibility and a willingness to teach summer courses is required. The position requires travel to the campus several times a year as requested by the Chair of the Graduate Department. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to a college environment based upon mutual respect and collegiality and will value the University's Catholic identity, tradition and spirit, and will support the University's commitment to community service, strategic planning, and the intellectual and ethical development of all students. Requirements: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: • FNP national certification and APRN current licensure • An earned doctorate in nursing or related field • Previous online graduate teaching experience of 3 years in a full-time appointment • Primary Care experience • Current FNP practice • Evidence of scholarship • Be willing to engage fully with students, communicate compassion, and demonstrate collegiality at all times • Work effecting within a faculty team Additional Information: The is accredited by the CCNE and offers a BSN, RN to BSN completion, RN to MSN and MSN with tracks for administration, nursing education, family nurse practitioner, PMHNP, clinical nurse leader.
