Graduate Electrical Designer

The Graduate Electrical Designer will support the design of building systems, prepare technical documents, and provide general design support under supervision, with a strong emphasis on learning and development.ResponsibilitiesPrepares design documents under the supervision of experienced engineering and design staffSupports the review of shop drawings for conformance to plans and specificationsAssists with engineering calculations as directedMay support business development or pursuit activities under direct supervisionOccasionally participates in client, company and/or industry eventsFosters a client-centric mindset and approachPartners with experienced engineering and design staff to understand client requirements and scope of workActs as a liaison to inform engineering and design teams of client and architect questions and relays responsesAcquires knowledge and fundamentals of common industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office productsSkillsBachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering (ie: electrical, fire protection or architectural) requiredExposure to engineering design fundamentals; fundamental knowledge of the A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards.
