Graduate Assistant for Men's and Women's Golf
Join Our Team at Newman University! We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Assistant to support our Men's and Women's Golf teams. As a key member of our athletic department, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the team, assisting the head coach in planning and executing training sessions, games, and tournaments. As a Graduate Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Assisting the head coach in planning and running team training sessions
Recording and reviewing games and practices
Assisting with scouting reports and recruiting efforts
Coordinating travel planning and scheduling
Mentoring and tutoring student-athletes
Developing and demonstrating a working knowledge of NCAA compliance rules
Completing all University-required trainings, including FERPA and Title IX
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree completed
Accepted and enrolled full-time in a Master's degree program (M.S.E. Organizational Leadership preferred)
Previous experience in a college athletic setting
Strong organizational and computer skills
Ability to exercise basic human relations skills in directing and motivating staff and dealing with varied constituencies
What We Offer:
$2,000 stipend paid over 12 months
Furnished room and free cable and internet access
Board (meals only offered when dining hall is open for traditional students)
Eligible for fall, spring, and summer tuition waiver
