## About the Role

Mercor is seeking experienced government compliance officers to support a leading AI lab in advancing research and infrastructure for next-generation machine learning systems. This engagement focuses on diagnosing and solving real issues in regulatory compliance and enforcement through hands-on scenario creation and validation. It's an opportunity to contribute your expertise to cutting-edge AI research while working independently and remotely on your own schedule.

## Key Responsibilities

- Write tasks and scenarios that reflect real-world government compliance work based on your professional experience

- Create realistic situations involving regulatory investigations, audit procedures, policy interpretation, enforcement actions, and compliance assessments

- Develop scenarios for conducting inspections, reviewing documentation, identifying violations, issuing citations, collaborating with legal teams, and ensuring adherence to federal, state, or local regulations

- Review and evaluate AI responses to compliance queries for accuracy and professional standards

- Provide detailed feedback on government compliance scenarios to improve AI training

## Ideal Qualifications

- 4+ years professional experience as a compliance officer in government, regulatory agencies, or public sector compliance roles

- Demonstrated professional recognition and management responsibilities

- Proficient with using computers and navigating various software systems

- Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills

- Pass video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz

- 14 years experience preferred

## **More About the Opportunity**

- Expected workload: 20+ hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours

- Project start date: immediately, lasting for around 6 weeks
