Google Workspace & AI Automation Specialist (Apps Script, Gemini, Google Vids)
We are building a semi-automated, AI-powered course development platform directly within the Google Workspace ecosystem. Our goal is to streamline the creation of rich, multimedia educational courses by combining standard Google tools (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Google Vids) with generative AI models to help draft text, create visuals, and assemble video content.
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Google Workspace & AI Automation Specialist to help build out the backend scripts and API connections that make this platform function smoothly.
What You Will Do:
• Write Custom Scripts: Build and maintain Google Apps Script code to automate tasks like document creation, folder organization, and moving data across Workspace apps.
• Integrate AI Text & Logic: Connect our workflows to Google Gemini APIs to assist with drafting course syllabi, module text, etc.
• Automate Multimedia Creation: Help integrate Google's visual AI tools into the pipeline. This includes using models like Nano Banana 2 (Gemini Image) for course graphics and working with Google Vids (and underlying video models like Veo) to automate video lesson creation.
• Connect Systems: Set up reliable API connections and webhooks to tie various Google services together
• Troubleshoot & Optimize: Ensure scripts run efficiently, handle basic errors properly, and stay within Google's standard execution quotas.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Solid, hands-on experience with Google Apps Script (GAS) and JavaScript.
• Familiarity working with core Google Workspace APIs (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Prior experience integrating Generative AI APIs into workflows (especially Google Gemini).
• An understanding of, or eagerness to work with, AI media generation tools (e.g., Nano Banana 2 for images, Veo/Google Vids for video).
• Experience making basic REST API calls and handling JSON data.
• Dependability, good communication in English, and the ability to follow project requirements closely.
