As we scale across the world’s largest markets, we are building a global commercial organization that acquires, incubates, and grows high-potential sellers into category leaders.To support this next phase of growth, we are hiring a Global Lead, Strategy & Operations to help design and orchestrate the operating model that powers seller success at scale.The RoleThis leader will sit at the center of the team responsible for gringing the right supply to eBay Live, partnering closely with Business Development, Onboarding, Seller Growth, Category Leadership, Customer Support, Product, and Market teams.You will translate strategy into execution, building the systems, governance, performance frameworks, and cross-functional alignment required to scale Live commerce globally. This role reports directly to the Head of eBay Live Commercial.What You Will Accomplish1. Design and Operationalize the Global Commercial ModelBuild and evolve a tiered seller service model that differentiates between strategic anchor sellers, growth-stage sellers, and self-serve participantsDefine clear qualification thresholds, graduation logic, and performance standardsEstablish scalable workflows for seller acquisition, onboarding, activation, and long-term growthIntroduce structured governance for process design and tool prioritization2. Orchestrate Cross-Functional ExecutionAct as the primary integrator across commercial, category, product, customer support, and regional market teamsAlign seller supply with category strategy and key seasonal or event-based momentsProactively manage trade-offs, resource allocation, and cross-regional coordinationProvide clear visibility to senior leadership on risks, dependencies, and progress3. Build the Performance Operating SystemDefine and implement key performance metrics such as: lead velocity, time to first live event, weekly content hours by category, revenue per hour streamed, seller retentionEstablish regular performance cadences and dashboardsUse data to drive prioritization and continuous improvement4. Drive Capacity Planning and Organizational EffectivenessPartner with finance and leadership on headcount modeling and resource allocationBalance strategic seller coverage with scalable support modelsReduce operational friction by simplifying meetings, clarifying roles, and eliminating duplicationSupport leadership communication and change management effortsWhat You Will BringRequired Experience8+ years in strategy, operations, consulting, or commercial leadership rolesExperience designing and scaling global operating modelsStrong executive presence and cross-functional influenceDemonstrated ability to translate complex strategy into structured executionAnalytical rigor with experience building performance frameworks and capacity plansExperience operating in fast-moving, matrixed environmentsPreferred ExperienceBackground in marketplace, ecommerce, or livestream commerceExperience supporting global or multi-regional teamsExperience in sales operations, commercial transformation, or high-growth environmentsAdditional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:$144,400 - $192,800Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
