As a member of our legal team, you will be involved in drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements and provide day-to-day legal support for the sales teams. Additionally, you will play a critical role in driving our global regulatory compliance programs and providing support for strategic initiatives and mitigating associated risks.

Responsibilities
• Assisting with drafting of commercial agreements, corporate transactions, attending to corporate governance matters, and general legal operations.
• Developing a close partnership with the global compliance team to educate them on compliance requirements and develop risk-appropriate control implementation solutions.
• Work with legal, risk and business stakeholders to develop and maintain our compliance policies and control framework.
• Conducting legal research on various topics and providing summaries and recommendations to the legal team.
• Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions and implementation strategies to management and employees.
• Ensure the company’s compliance with global AI laws and regulations, including data protection, privacy, and ethical AI practices.
• Collaborating with internal departments to ensure legal compliance in company practices and policies.
• Researching and reviewing global rules and regulations applicable to the firm's business.
• Documenting issues and implementing solutions in a timely manner after discovery and resolution.
• Participating in internal and external audits and reviews of the firm's compliance & information security program.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external counsel, and other internal functions to ensure appropriate compliance practices.
• Assist with general compliance matters and other projects as needed.

Requirements
• 5+ years of compliance or paralegal experience working in a Regulatory Compliance role within the Fintech industry.
• Ability to think critically and solve challenges with innovative solutions.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues while exercising independent judgment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with CLM tools such as Salesforce.
• Excellent ability to multi-task.
• Entrepreneurial, self-guided work ethic with results-driven orientation.
• Excels in a fast-paced, rigorous work environment; effectively prioritizes and meets deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
• Ability to work in the NYC office near Grand Central at least three days a week.
