The Role

The Global Sales Manager position is primarily focused on the DC/MD/VA market. You will be a team player who can work independently in a remote role and as part of a larger, dynamic team. You will develop and implement sales strategies to maximize sales and profitability, focusing on all markets, while serving as a liaison between customers and hotel-based colleagues.
• Develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth for the DC/MD/VA market accounts in the hospitality industry
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance) to execute sales strategies
• Serve as a key liaison between the corporate office and local hotel leaders
• Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and market intelligence to inform sales strategies
• Assist in negotiating contracts and provide support to both hotel colleagues and customers
• Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by working with hotel teams to deliver exceptional service to assigned accounts
• Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, forecast results, and report on performance
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
Qualifications

Experience Required:
• 3+ years of experience in hotel sales
• Proven track record in sales, consistently exceeding targets and increasing revenue in hospitality
• Strong knowledge of contract processes
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills

Experience Preferred:
• 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient in Lanyon, CVENT & Envision (or similar CRM)
• Experience with Cognos, Tableau, Reserve, and Oracle
• Experience in hotel sales focused on the DC/MD/VA market is a bonus
Additional Requirements
• Must be located in Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia
• Must be able to work remotely and independently
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding market, including off-peak hours as required
• Must have the ability to be creative with customer engagement opportunities
• Must be very strategic when working with accounts
• Flexibility to travel as needed to meet with clients and collaborate with hotel teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $80,000–$90,000 and is eligible for incentive awards, annual bonuses, and other incentives. Final pay rate will depend on experience, skills, and location of performance of work, in compliance with local requirements.
