GIS Technician I - Research/GIS
About the position Responsibilities • Develop and maintain GIS databases and applications. • Digitize data from reference materials and perform database attribution. • Analyze spatial data and generate products. • Update and maintain countywide datasets. • Assist in developing procedures for maintaining GIS databases. • Create static and web-based map products. • Develop, test, and prototype GIS applications. • Administer one or more GIS datasets including easements, development activity, parcels, and zoning. Requirements • High school diploma or GED. • Experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro GIS software. • Knowledge of ArcGIS Online (Experience Builder, Dashboards, Instant Apps). • Experience developing and maintaining spatial data and associated metadata. • Experience editing in a versioned editing environment. • General knowledge of spreadsheets, word-processing, and database software in Microsoft and Google environments. • Valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator's license. Nice-to-haves • One or more years of experience working with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online software. • One or more years of experience editing in a versioned editing environment.
