GIS Support Analyst
Employer Industry: Government - Natural Resources Why consider this job opportunity: - Starting pay between $32.00 to $36.00 per hour (or $66,560 to $74,880 annually) - Generous paid time off, including 3.5 weeks of vacation/personal time and nine paid holidays - Excellent and affordable health insurance options starting at $34/month for single coverage - Access to a top-notch retirement program and optional tax-advantaged 457 retirement savings plan - Opportunities for remote work based on individual circumstances and supervisor approval - Participation in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program for eligible employees What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Maintain enterprise GIS datasets used by DNR staff - Provide first-level technical support for desktop and web-based GIS platforms - Manage user accounts, group configurations, and sharing requests for ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Hub - Fulfill ArcGIS Desktop license requests - Document technical procedures and develop user training for GIS or IT tools What is Required (Qualifications): - Experience performing GIS data development, editing, and cartography using ESRI ArcGIS Pro or similar software - Experience providing customer service for IT support, including troubleshooting GIS technical issues - Experience performing GIS data quality assurance and quality control - Experience creating web maps and configuring applications using ArcGIS Online or similar software - Experience documenting technical procedures and developing user training for GIS or IT tools How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Experience publishing map services to ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Portal, or ArcGIS Online - Experience managing ArcGIS Online user accounts and group permissions - Experience curating shared GIS data and service repositories for large user groups - Experience providing GIS consulting for various GIS tools - Experience with creating Python or SQL code #NaturalResources #GIS #GovernmentJobs #RemoteWork #CareerOpportunity #PublicService "We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
