Hear more about MGT ’s culture in the words of our employees . WHAT YOU’LL DO: In this role you will: Track and update residential development projects using available data sources. Communicate with developers and/or planning agencies to obtain the latest development information. Perform geocoding (“address-matching”) of student data and property assessor records. Edit and create various GIS data layers, such as streets, schools, and study areas. Assist in the creation of high-quality maps for client deliverables. Support Project Managers with additional tasks as assigned, ensuring adherence to timelines and standards. WHAT YOU’LL BRING: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Computer Science , or a related field. Basic familiarity with Windows file structures and file management. Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro , including experience with map creation, data visualization, and layer editing. Understanding of GIS concepts such as geocoding, shapefiles, feature classes, and coordinate systems . Ability to interpret and edit spatial data such as parcel records, student addresses, streets, and boundary lines. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established workflows and data standards . Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a project team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
