GIS Configuration Engineer || Remote
Position: GIS Configuration Engineer Remote Work Four-year contract (w/ possible extension) starting June 2, 2025!! Job Description: Our client, a State Agency, is looking seeks experienced GIS Configuration Engineers to develop, implement, and maintain a robust Enterprise GIS system for Transportation and Development. Remote contractors will design and build GIS-based solutions for data extraction, translation, collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting. This includes creating interactive dashboards and web mapping applications. Contractors will provide comprehensive GIS support, including but not limited to: Data Management: Data extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and modeling. Application Development: Building and maintaining GIS applications using scripting, geo- processing, and other relevant tools. System Administration: Configuring, integrating, and optimizing GIS software and hardware. Analysis and Reporting: Conducting spatial analysis and generating reports to support decision-making. User Support: Providing technical assistance and training to staff Our client has invested in a suite of GIS technologies, including but not limited to: Esri ArcGIS Suite: For enterprise GIS capabilities. Feature Manipulation Engine (FME): For data transformation and integration. VertiGIS Studio and Inline: For web map development. Tableau: For data insights, visualization, and analysis. PMGs HPMS/SLD Manager: For highway performance management system data and straight line diagraming. Contractors will deliver well-documented, efficient, and sustainable GIS solutions. Knowledge transfer through training and documentation is essential. Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory: • ESRIs Suite of Desktop and Enterprise Software • Usage and development of Desktop software (ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro) • Deployment and implementation of ESRIs Enterprise for ArcGIS platform • Configuration and development of web applications • Publishing of web services Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory: • Development and implementation of ESRIs Roads and Highways Linear Referencing System • Leveraging Safe Software's FME Enterprise subscription • FME Form for workflow process development • FME Flow for automation of workflows • Deployment of VertiGIS Studio for enhancement of ESRIs Enterprise for ArcGIS platform • Deployment, development, configuration, and implementation of HPMS and SLD Manager software • Scripting and Coding • Software and application development • .Net • HTML • Java Script • Python • R • Others Apply tot his job
