Gift Processing Associate

The Gift Processing Associate will be responsible for all aspects of gift processing, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with the finance team to process gifts accurately in Raiser’s Edge NXT.ResponsibilitiesResponsibility for relevant data in the Raiser’s Edge database, including but not limited to:Creation of constituent records, utilizing all modules within Raiser’s Edge NXT while processing giftsUpdate donor records in Raiser’s Edge NXT with relationships, notes, attributes, demographic information and moreIdentify duplicate records and adjust gifts as neededEdit and enter gifts in a batch while reviewing the backups and determine correct programming information, work with the Accounting Department for review of financial information and departmental approvalsUpload documents to donor records in Raiser’s EdgeTroubleshoot gift entry issues, field internal inquiries regarding donors and giftsProcess Direct Mail gifts using ImportOmatic, liaise with direct mail processors on gifts processed offsiteProcess Online gifts, creating individual batches from Raiser’s Edge NXT using ImportOmatic; edit and validate batchesProcess all checks, wires, stocks, and foreign currency gifts in a batch through gift edit and entryEnter pledges in a batch, process for Finance approvalHandle the acknowledgment letters process, including letter merge, review non-automated letters and tribute cards, run acknowledgement reports on a biweekly basis, manage acknowledgement inquiries, print letters and tribute cards, and prepare them for mailingProcess grant agreements for signature through all stakeholdersOther duties as may be assigned from time to timeSkillsPrior experience in a fundraising department and with a fundraising database (e.g., Raiser's Edge NXT or similar) at an associate-levelPrior experience working remotely with a CRM and working closely with a remote teamBasic knowledge of the needs of a large nonprofit's Development operationsStrong computer skills, including expertise with Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong reading comprehension skills, including the ability to comprehend complex scenarios through email threadsExcellent detail orientation, organization, and multi-tasking skills required, with high standards of accuracyExcellent troubleshooting and research skillsAbility to think proactively, problem-solve, and prioritize in a high-volume, deadline-driven environmentAbility to remain calm and collected when under pressure and meet deadlinesAbility to work both on one's own and in a team environmentGlobal nonprofit experience a plusPassion for humanitarian work and/or global Jewish service is strongly preferredBenefits100% paid medical and dental insurance for employee coveragePaid time off, including 15 vacation days, 15 sick days, 3 personal days, 10 national holidays, and up to 14 Jewish holidays depending on the Jewish calendar for any given year12 weeks of paid parental leave for full-time staff who have worked with JDC for at least 1 year403(b) with JDC contributions of 6.5% of salaryFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA), commuter benefits, and life insuranceLearning & Development: Ongoing opportunities for professional development through workshops and trainings with our internal L&D programFood Perks: Bagel Thursdays and beverages/snacks in the office for on-site and hybrid employeesCompany OverviewJDC is the leading, global Jewish humanitarian organization, working in 70 countries to lift lives and strengthen communities.
