Gas Design Engineer

LaBella Associates is seeking a Gas Design Engineer for their gas group in Rochester, NY. The successful candidate will act as a consultant for utility clients, managing various projects related to gas system improvements and design.ResponsibilitiesProduction of quality basemap and construction drawings for client, municipal, and regulatory agency reviewDevelopment of energization and de-energization proceduresContractor and construction cost estimationCreation of Material Pick Lists and data entry into SAP Work Management SystemApply for and obtain municipal highway permits and other right-of-way permits (e.g. NYSDOT, railroad, Thruway Authority, Canal Corporation, etc.)Coordinate with landowners to obtain right-of-way / easement when requiredCreate as-built records from inspector’s field notes (design redlines)Conduct preliminary field work which would include carrying approximately 10 lbs. throughout the work day.
