Fundraising + Email Marketing Specialist

Beth Interactive is a dynamic digital-first philanthropy and communications agency seeking a full-time Fundraising + Email Marketing Specialist to support fundraising and marketing campaigns. The role involves executing technical work across email, digital communications, and websites while assisting with data analysis to track performance and inform strategy. Responsibilities Building and coding drafts of emails in Emma (Beth Interactive’s preferred email marketing platform) and other platforms (MailChimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Constant Contact, Slate, BBIS, etc.) Managing email builds for multiple distinct clients, understanding client brand standards and ensuring email designs match individual brand guidelines Database management, such as cleaning/uploading email databases, managing segments and exclusion lists Analyzing email results and providing reporting/recommendations for clients Conducting basic analysis of gift data to identify trends and areas of improvement Ensuring quality control for email builds and iterations, including link checking, light proofing, consistency across versions and adherence to client brand Webmaster support, such as updating website pages, landing pages, online giving forms and peer-to-peer fundraising pages Assisting with client project management, annual giving, direct mail and email marketing campaigns Collaboration with internal team and external vendors Researching digital fundraising solutions and ongoing best practices Potential to work directly with prospective and new clients Other duties as assigned Skills Basic experience in email marketing and digital communications Experience building/coding emails in drag-and-drop email marketing platforms (e.g. Emma, MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.) Proficient with HTML basics and familiar with email design principles and best practices Able to quickly learn and execute technical tasks in a variety of platforms and systems (e.g. various email marketing systems, website platforms, etc.) with exceptional attention to detail Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Extremely organized and clear communicator, including communications with non-technical audience Proactive, comfortable and professional when working with team Capable of executing a wide variety of project deliverables with high quality, accuracy and speed Superior verbal communication and interpersonal skills essential Ambitious and self-motivated A strong team player who is willing to jump into new things and support their team members while on tight deadlines Ability to manage email builds for multiple distinct clients, understanding client brand standards and ensuring email designs match individual brand guidelines Database management, such as cleaning/uploading email databases, managing segments and exclusion lists Analyzing email results and providing reporting/recommendations for clients Conducting basic analysis of gift data to identify trends and areas of improvement Ensuring quality control for email builds and iterations, including link checking, light proofing, consistency across versions and adherence to client brand Webmaster support, such as updating website pages, landing pages, online giving forms and peer-to-peer fundraising pages Assisting with client project management, annual giving, direct mail and email marketing campaigns Collaboration with internal team and external vendors Researching digital fundraising solutions and ongoing best practices Potential to work directly with prospective and new clients Bachelor's degree in communications, data analytics, information systems, fundraising, marketing or related field; candidates with commensurate experience will be considered Experience in fundraising and/or non-profit strongly preferred; candidates with exemplary marketing or communications experience will be considered 1+ year experience in a similar professional role preferable but not required Design experience (Photoshop, Canva), coding (advanced HTML, CSS, Javascript), proofreading/editing skills, etc Benefits Generous PTO package Health, dental and vision insurance plans 401k retirement plan with employer match Employer-provided life and short-term disability insurance Paid professional development opportunities Performance-based bonus Company Overview Beth Interactive is a digital marketing and e-fundraising agency.
