Job Description: As a Function Developer for our Powertrain Solutions division, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative technologies for the entire powertrain. Specifically, within the PS-TC department, responsible for solenoid development in the automatic transmission control units and new field of solenoid applications. Your tasks: ► Develop and design new solenoid concepts for transmission control and emerging applications ► Design and analyze electromagnetic and electro-hydraulic systems (force, stroke, fluid control) ► Translate customer and system requirements into functional and performance specifications ► Validate concepts through simulations and laboratory measurements ► Analyze test results and iterate designs to achieve optimal performance ► Collaborate with simulation and testing teams to define validation approaches ► Contribute to innovative solutions (e.g. sensor-less position detection concepts) ► Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations ► Work closely with international stakeholders across development, production, and suppliers Qualifications: ► MSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field ► Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in electromagnetism, hydraulics, control systems or simulation methods ► Experience with measurement systems and test environments ► Proficiency level in English (written and spoken) ► Ability to work independently and think analytically What gives you further advantages ► Experience in automotive or product development environment ► Self-motivated, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills ► German language knowledge Additional Information: Get to know our #LikeABosch benefits.
