Key Responsibilities

IEP Leadership: Take charge in IEP meetings, working collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other specialists to set and assess educational goals.
Student Progress Monitoring: Utilize virtual tools to regularly assess student progress, adapting instructional strategies as necessary to optimize learning outcomes.
Collaborative Engagement: Partner with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers to create a unified, supportive, and inclusive educational environment.
Parental Involvement: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and offering strategies to support learning at home.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a closely related field.
Certification: Valid New Mexico teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in special education, with a strong preference for those experienced in remote or virtual instruction.
Skills: Proficient in using educational technology, strong communication and organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of special education practices.

Work Environment
